What Does Added Security Gold Plus Cover? Added Security Gold Plus enhances the Subaru limited warranty by paying for parts and labor on most repairs required after the warranty expires. It also provides immediate benefits that are not provided by the warranty. Added Security Gold Plus covers so many parts and accessories, they could not possibly all be listed here. The coverage includes all components covered by Classic Plans including:
- Engine
- Drivetrains
- Brakes
- Electrical
- Steering
- Transmission
- Front Suspension
- Cooling and fuel
- Air Conditioning
A few examples of additional covered items are power antenna, cruise control, radio and speakers, cassette deck, seat belt assembly, rear window defogger, thermostat, springs, steering wheel, engine brackets (including power steering), gear shift levers, hand brake levers, pedals, cables and latches, locks, seat releases, heater/AC ducts and vents, speed alarm, wiper arms, window tracks/guides/handles/knobs, frame, floor boards, and body joints.
Trip Interruption Allowance If your car must be kept in the shop overnight for a covered repair during or after the warranty period, Added Security Gold Plus pays up to $500 towards you actual expenses for lodging and meals for you and your family when the breakdown occurs more than 50 miles from home.
Roadside Assistance*
- "Sign and Drive" service up to $100 per disablement to get you back on the road as quickly as possible with no cash outlay.
- Emergency dispatched towing for covered warranty or Added Security breakdowns.
- Emergency on-site road service for jump start, gasoline delivery, tire change (with your good spare), and other minor repairs.
- Emergency lockout or locksmith service.
- Computerized trip routing.
- Lost key retrieval system
Road Hazard Tire Protection guards you against the costs related to tire damage from potholes, nails, glass, and other road hazards, not covered by the tire manufacturer warranty. The four original tires are covered for repairable leaks or punctures during the plan term. In the event that tire replacement is necessary, the plan will cover the prorated cost up to $150.
Subaru Dealer Locator Service provides the location and phone number of the nearest Subaru dealer when you travel.
Added Security Owner Assistance provides a toll-free emergency number available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Items Not Covered are scheduled maintenance services and parts described in your Subaru Warranty and Maintenane Booklet as well as other normal maintenance sevices and parts, including but not limited to engine tune-up, alignments, wheel balancing, filters, lubricants, coolant, wiper blades, belts, hoses, spark plugs, brake pads, and manual clutch assembly. Other parts not included in the coverage would be glass, weatherstripping, tires, light bulbs, upholstery, paint, exhaust system including catalytic convertors, rust damage, brake rotors, squeaks, rattles, and cable/linkage adjustments. Accessories will not be covered unless they are factory installed and/or approved. Added Security does not cover vehicles used commercially, damage caused by unreasonable use or lack of maintenance, or repairs required or performed prior to the issuance of the Added Security Plan.
